Why Inflatable Jet Boats Ideal for the Family

Why Inflatable Jet Boats Ideal for the Family

Picture this: a sunny day, a chilly bin full of kai, and your whānau all piled into an inflatable jet boat, cruising up the river with ease. That's just one picture of a "Next level adventure" that we like to imagine! The water’s calm, you’re surrounded by native bush, and the perfect picnic spot’s just around the corner.

If you’ve never taken the family on a river mission in an inflatable jet boat, you’re seriously missing out! These boats comfortable (like sitting on an air mattress!), spacious, and super easy to handle, making them the perfect set-up for a day out on the water. Here’s why heading upriver with your loved ones in one of these boats is hard to beat.

Comfy, Anywhere You Sit

One of the best things about inflatable jet boats is how comfortable they are. None of this hard, cramped seating business — it’s soft and roomy no matter where you sit. You could be in the front, hanging on the side, or stretched out in the back, and it's still the best seat on the boat.

There’s room for everyone, too — Mum, Dad, the kids, dogs, aunties, cousins, the neighbour and their cousins.... Plus, there’s still heaps of space for all your gear.

Stack It Full of Gear

Got a chilly bin? A few extra blankets? Some fishing gear for the keen anglers in the family? No worries, it’ll all fit. Inflatable jet boats have plenty of room for everything you need for a day out. Whether it’s a picnic lunch, a sea biscuit, or even a portable BBQ for a big feed on the riverbank, you can pack it all in.

These boats are built to carry the load - check out the load of deer and wild boar we come home with sometimes! You don’t have to stress about leaving anything behind or having to compromise on what to bring — the boat will handle it.

Light Enough to Drag Ashore

Here’s where these boats really come into their own. They’re lightweight, so when you find that perfect spot on the riverbank, it’s a piece of cake to pull them ashore. Even if you’re fully loaded with gear and half the neighbourhood, they’re light enough that you and one other person can drag them up onto the sand or grass.

This makes finding the perfect picnic spot or swim hole a breeze. You’re not limited to places with a jetty or a ramp; you can stop anywhere along the river that looks good.

Handles Like a Dream

Even with a boat full of people and gear, inflatable jet boats are super easy to handle. Whether you’re navigating narrow sections of the river or opening up the throttle on a wider stretch, the boat responds perfectly. The jet engine gives you plenty of power, but it’s not hard to control — even if you’re not an expert boatie.

Perfect for All Ages

Got kids? Grandparents? Inflatable jet boats are ideal for a family outing because they’re so stable and safe. The soft sides make it comfortable for everyone to move around without worrying about getting hurt on sharp edges or hard seats. Kids can jump in and out, and you won’t have to stress about them slipping over or bumping into something.

Plus, because they’re so easy to pull up on the riverbank, you can stop wherever you like. Everyone can hop out for a swim, a bite to eat, or just to stretch their legs. It’s a great way to keep the day flexible and fun for everyone.

Eco-Friendly and Quiet

Inflatable jet boats are kinder to the environment than you might think. Their jet propulsion system means they’re not churning up the riverbed or damaging the water’s ecosystem, which is always a bonus when you’re out in nature. And because they’re so light, they use less fuel than a traditional boat, which helps keep your footprint smaller.

Ready to Go?

Taking the whānau on a river trip in an inflatable jet boat is hard to beat. They’re comfy, easy to drive, and have loads of room for everyone and everything. Whether you’re looking to find the perfect picnic spot, go for a swim, or just enjoy a day out on the water, these boats make the whole experience stress-free and fun.

I just want to say how happy I am with your Solar Package, especially the awesome trailer. The boat motor and trailer are set up real good. It’s a credit to you all.

Thank you and your company for the very professional service and correspondence in my purchase of one of your Solar Strela inflatables.

I have completed the two hours on the initial running in at half throttle of the motor and am looking forward to the power that I feel the engine can produce in making a safe trip in the river when I have to open it up. The boat performs probably beyond my expectations in cornering and stopping in a hurry.

Best thing my husband has ever brought. You know I thought oh no it'll mean you'll be out with your mate's 247, but no it has brought our family closer and we have had many family adventures boating all across New Zealand. Stewart Island, Lake Hauroko, Wairaurahiri River, lake wanaka, the Wilkin, the horomanga, the whirinaki, waimana river, waioweka gorge, rangiteiki river, amongst a few, best purchase ever.

My husband and I were privileged to be able to hunt with Gary on his boat and what an awesome experience it was. We were able to penetrate deep into the Ngahere via the river. We quickly accessed the good hunting spots. These spots would normally take a long day of walking to access.

The boat managed the problematic areas of the river with ease and our comfort was not compromised. The boat was more than capable of the payload of 3 people, 3 dogs, and our hunting gear. Not to mention our harvested quarry on the return trip home.

I have been using GT Marine and Alloy services for over 10 years now for all alloy repairs to my truck and trailer units. Their workmanship and service are second to none. I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending them.
